11/06/2019 14:00 11/06/2019 15:00 Suppliers’ Perspective on Effective Contracting Approaches to Increasing Local Content Delivery and Impact. The ability for Governments and energy companies to effectively leverage their supply chains is key to delivering on local content and economic development expectations. In this session, we invite suppliers to discuss what worked and didn’t work in the context of contracting and local content delivery. Key questions to be addressed in this session include:
  • What advice and lessons learned can suppliers offer to Government and energy companies in terms of effective contracting strategies and approaches to local content delivery - both in terms of worked well and what didn’t?
  • What specific initiatives did government and / or energy companies do which were particularly effective in helping suppliers prepare for delivering on local content expectations?
  • Does local content delivery always come at a financial cost and if so, are there ways to reduce this cost, can anything be done about it?
  • Will suppliers deliver on LC ambitions regardless of whether it’s built into Government hard, legal requirements, the ITT, and the contract itself?
  • What quantitative and qualitative ways can we measure and report on impact beyond just $ spend?
