As reported by Energy Voice, Petronas has handed Maersk Drilling a $24 million contract to drill one well off Gabon using a deepwater drillship, drilling an ultra-deepwater exploration well in Block F13. 

BW Energy has launched its 2021 drilling campaign in Gabon with the spudding of the Hibiscus extension well. The company will drill three wells on the Dussafu licence including two exploration wells on the Hibiscus find and a production well on the Tortye field. Continue reading.

Rystad Energy has revealed that its latest forecast projects a six percent year on year increase in oil demand in 2021. Seeing a demand rising to an average of 95.4 million barrels per day this year, from 89.6MMbpd in 2020. Continue reading.
