Bringing people together is at the heart of what we do at Africa Oil Week. We remain confident that we could have delivered our event in February safely. However, ongoing uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and international travel restrictions means that we can no longer be certain of delivering the event to the highest standard to which our audience is accustomed. With the current restrictions for hosting events in South Africa preventing larger gatherings, we believe our attendee ROI and ROTI would have been significantly impacted. This was therefore an important contributing factor to the decision to cancel.
In 2021, Africa Oil Week will be held in Cape Town on 1-5 November. The show will take place in accordance with the latest health & safety and government guidance. The wellbeing of our speakers, delegates, sponsors and exhibitors will remain a top priority and our aim is to run the live event to reunite the industry as well as provide the leading platform to help rebuild the future of oil and gas in Africa.
In the meantime, our team is busy working on some exciting initiatives aimed at facilitating multi-stakeholder strategic conversations and delivering world-class digital content in the months leading up to AOW in November 2021 (more details coming soon). For now, we would like to thank all those who have supported us in the last 27 years, we can’t wait to see you!
We will keep you in the loop every step of the way, but should you have any questions in the meantime, visit our FAQs. Alternatively, please don't hesitate to contact us. Our team is here to answer all your questions.
