Dr. Kiconco is petroleum geoscientist with over 22 years of professional experience in the oil and gas, education and natural resources sectors. Currently works as the Head of Exploration and New Ventures at the Uganda National Oil Company Limited (UNOC).  Formerly worked with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development and Shlumberger where she held technical, leadership, management, and advisory roles.   

Her areas of expertise include geoscience data acquisition, processing and analysis, prospect and play assessment, assessment of petroleum potential of new acreages, modelling of petroleum reservoirs, oil and gas resource estimation, appraisal of oil and gas fields, field development planning, management of petroleum operations, business development and management, marketing and sales among others.  

She holds Doctorate (Leadership and Strategic Management), MBA, Project Management Professional (PMP), MSc. Petroleum Geology, MSc. Water Resources Management (Hydrogeology), BSc. Geology & Chemistry, Dip. Management of Petroleum Operations and several professional certifications.

Shigela Malosha

Director of Contracting and Licensing Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority (PURA)

Mr. Shigela Josephat Malosha is a senior geologist with more than fifteen years of experience in the petroleum industry. He started his career with Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) in the capacity of Exploration Geophysicist. He worked under this field for four years and later transformed to the position of Exploration Geologist within the Corporation. He then joined the Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority as a Director of Contracting and Licensing. Mr. Malosha is now responsible for coordinating and managing licensing round process of the petroleum exploration blocks, preparing licensing strategies and promote areas for licensing, coordinating issuance, extension, surrender, cancellation, renewal of the exploration license, coordinating preparation of bidding documents and coordinating the renewal of Model Production Sharing Agreements (MPSA) at PURA. He holds a BSc. (Hons) in Geology from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and MSc. in Petroleum Geosciences from the Adelaide University, Australia.

 

Victoria Sibeya

Executive: Upstream Exploration Namcor

Victoria serves as the Executive for Upstream Exploration at NAMCOR, her role entails leading the Upstream Exploration team in order to grow NAMCOR's hydrocarbon exploration portfolio by developing business opportunities in line with the company strategy. 

She is a Geologist by profession and she holds a Master's degree in Geology from the University of Nambia.
