Ahmadu Kida Musa

Deputy Managing Director Total E&P Nigeria

Mr. Ahmadu-Kida MUSA hails from Borno State in Nigeria. He studied Civil Engineering at the Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Engineering from the prestigious French Petroleum Institute (IFP), France.
 
Mr Musa joined Total Exploration & Production Nigeria in 1985 and has over 32 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Mr Musa was appointed the Deputy Managing Director of TEPNG Deepwater District as well as on the Board member of Total Upstream Companies in Nigeria on August 01, 2015.
 
Mr Musa attended several professional courses that includes the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Harvard Business School both in the USA. He is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers International, a chartered Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) as well as a registered Member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
 
Mr Musa received several distinguished Awards for exemplary character, philanthropic gesture, excellence in mentorship and service to humanity. Mr Musa plays Basketball and is the current President of the Board of Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF). He is happily married and blessed with children.

Exploring two of the most exciting projects in Uganda, the Tilenga project includes a CPF with capcacity for 190,000 barrels/day and over 400 wells which are planned to be drilled on 35 wellpads, whilst the Kingfisher project’s CPF has capacity for 40,000 barrels/day and 31 wells to be drilled on 4 well pads, with CNOOC Ltd. commencing pre-development work.

Sound Energy PLC is a mid-cap Moroccan gas company, which is exploring the significant potential (up to 34 Tcf) of the Triassic and Paleozoic plays in Eastern Morocco following its first (0.65Tcf GIP) discovery in 2017. The company, together with its strategic partner Schlumberger, has just completed a 3,000km 2D seismic programme and will shortly initiate its high impact three well exploration programme with a view to unlocking the multi Tcf potential. The company was recently awarded the production concession for the existing discovery whereby initial production of c.60mmscfd will connect to the GME pipeline via a new 20”pipeline and offtake is expected to be either domestic gas-to-power generation or export via GME pipeline to Southern Europe.
