Sound Energy PLC is a mid-cap Moroccan gas company, which is exploring the significant potential (up to 34 Tcf) of the Triassic and Paleozoic plays in Eastern Morocco following its first (0.65Tcf GIP) discovery in 2017. The company, together with its strategic partner Schlumberger, has just completed a 3,000km 2D seismic programme and will shortly initiate its high impact three well exploration programme with a view to unlocking the multi Tcf potential. The company was recently awarded the production concession for the existing discovery whereby initial production of c.60mmscfd will connect to the GME pipeline via a new 20”pipeline and offtake is expected to be either domestic gas-to-power generation or export via GME pipeline to Southern Europe.
