Diane McMahon is a senior external relations and government affairs professional at Bechtel, one of the most respected global engineering, construction, and project management companies.
Ms. McMahon’s portfolio includes global policy & issues, government relations, media relations and crisis management, global trade and regulatory affairs. She supports four regions, including Bechtel’s Africa team in public affairs, business development, trade policy, sustainability and stakeholder management.
For over twenty years, McMahon has advised global companies on market access, reputation management and government relations. She has worked with more than forty companies from twenty business sectors. Previously, McMahon served as Vice President for Albright Stonebridge Group, a global strategic advisory firm led by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and former Secretary of Commerce, Carlos Gutierrez; and as a lobbyist for Mayer Brown, a top ten Chicago-based law firm, then led by former USTR and Secretary of Commerce, Mickey Kantor.
Prior to her consulting work, McMahon worked for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Congressman Hamilton Fish (R-NY), and the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, N.Y.
McMahon received a Masters’ Degree in International Relations and Comparative Regional Studies of Asia from American University in Washington, D.C. and a B.A. in Political Science and Japanese language from Manhattanville College in Westchester County, New York.
