Harald Peter Knoebl

General Secretary Neptune Energy

Since receiving his Master of Laws from the Washington College of Law of American University in Washington DC, and his Ph.D in Law from the University in Freiburg, Harald Knoebl has acquired almost 20 years of industry experience - first in Berlin/Germany as attorney of law, then as inhouse counsel dealing with various business lines of Gaz de France (today: ENGIE). He later joined the oil & gas business of ENGIE based in Paris and was leading the legal department for many years, mainly looking after M&A projects on all continents and the opening of the capital to new investors alongside ENGIE. After an internal reorganisation, he took over a management position as General Secretary to look over various support functions (e.g. legal, ethics & compliance, communication, audit, country directors etc.) and the Group Board as well as having a main role in the takeover of the business by Neptune Energy, where he continues in his role as General Secretary.
