Principal Investment Officer International Finance Corporation (IFC)

Haran Sivam is a Principal Investment Officer in the Global Energy Unit within IFC’s Infrastructure & Natural Resources Department. IFC is the private sector arm of the World Bank Group with $8 billion in equity and debt investments in Energy projects throughout the Emerging Markets. Mr. Sivam has been leading IFC’s LNG-related investments including in four LNG-to-Power and two LNG terminal projects. Prior to taking up his current position in 2010, Mr. Sivam spent four years as a Managing Director at the Blackstone Group successfully leading infrastructure developments on the African continent and has 25 years of power sector investment experience in various capacities in the Emerging Markets. He has Mechanical Engineering degrees from MIT and Brown University, and an MBA from the Wharton School.
