ANP is the Brazilian national regulatory agency for the activities within oil, natural gas and biofuels in Brazil. It’s linked to the Ministry of Mines and Energy. ANP is responsible for implementing the national policy for the Brazilian oil, natural gas and biofuels sector.
I was the CEO of the institution, answering for it before the Brazilian government and the Brazilian society.
In this position, I was directly in charge of the strategic plans for the up, mid and downstream sectors, institutional communication, IT, legal and internal affairs, audits, monitoring Brazilian fuel supply etc.
During this period, the ANP prepared and launched to the market four (04) bidding rounds for oil and gas exploration and production, including the first Brazilian pre-salt round. ANP staff was responsible for the proposal of the areas, technical and economical rules, tender protocol, bidding round promotion and for the bidding round events themselves.
I had a direct participation, promoting the bidding rounds in Europe, the USA and Asia. The events included my public presentations and bilateral meetings with economic agents, held in partnership with the Brazilian embassies abroad.
