Michelle Roffe is the Africa Consultant for the International Association of Geophysical Contractors (IAGC), the global trade association for the geophysical and exploration (G&E) industry. As the cornerstone of the energy industry, the IAGC engages governments and stakeholders worldwide on issues central to geophysical operations and exploration access. In her role with the IAGC, Michelle provides support to the organization’s member companies operating in Africa, helping further advance the G&E industry’s freedom to operate.
As a business and environmental strategist, Michelle has worked in the energy and geophysical industries and, more recently, the oil and natural gas industry. Working closely with numerous international oil and natural gas clients, she provides advice on environmental compliance as well as environmental project management for upstream operations located in Africa. She supports these clients in Africa with government and fisheries stakeholder engagement as well as local content development.
In addition to her work with the oil and natural gas industry, Michelle is the Business Development Manager - Africa for Seiche. With main offices in the United Kingdom, the United States and South Africa, Seiche provides marine technology and environmental service solutions for the offshore marine industry. Michelle lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa.
