11/07/2019 13:00 11/07/2019 13:30 Subsea Technology NOV Subsea Solutions – taking production from surface to seabed to save valuable topside space and reduce manpower; disruptive technologies including subsea storage units, process equipment and automated pigging are just some of the areas of new technologies that are changing the production conversations. Our Seabox™ technology allows seawater treatment on the seabed without the use of chemicals and is able to remove 99% of all particles > 8.5 microns to provide near sterile water. The use of a Seabox module complete with ultrafiltration, Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes or nanofiltration enable low salinity and sulphate removal and make it possible to tailor the raw seawater qualities matched to reservoir requirements for maximum recovery. Our robust subsea storage solutions are available for oil, chemicals, and produced water which reduces topside storage systems and weight allowing fluids to be stored subsea e.g. MEG thereby reducing umbilical complexity and cost. Our award winning SAPL allows pig launching from subsea and eliminates the requirement for a pigging loop simplifying subsea architecture while not compromising on the ability to maintain flow assurance. The subsea factory is fast becoming reality with today’s technology.
