Nosizwe has an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Gupkin State University of Oil and Gas (1990), International Management Certificate from INSEAD (2003), Certificate in Finance and Accounting WITS (2004) Global Executive Development Programme GIBS (2004). 

 
Nosizwe Nokwe is one of the first African female Petrochemical Engineers in South Africa having graduated in the then USSR. Nosizwe has 27 years of experience in the Petroleum and Energy industry. After completing her studies in Refining of Oil and Gas in Baku Azerbaijan, she proceeded to specialise in Synthesis of Petrochemicals at the Gupkin State University of Oil and Gas.
 
 She is an accomplished and result driven Business Leader with success in leading strategy and directing substantial operations and projects. She has an in depth understanding of global petroleum and petrochemical markets and applies clear direction, strong technical and commercial acumen to drive innovative solutions. 
 
Her experience in the petroleum and energy industry spans across several countries on the African continent during which she has held numerous leadership portfolios right across the petroleum value chain. 
 
Nosizwe is an award winning and well accomplished oil and gas authority. .Her passion for development and building  enterprises has earned her the accolade of “Excellence in Business” – Women in Energy in Africa.  
 
Nosizwe was engaged with the United Nations Commission for Trade and Development (UNCTAD) on a very pivotal project for natural resource management on the African continent. 
She was invited by United Nations Economic Commission for Africa to participate in the Expert Group Meeting on Petrochemical Clusters for IGAD member states. 
 
She is currently the Founding member of an Independent Oil and Gas Consultancy whose focus is assisting in strategic value add to companies in the Petroleum Industry on the African continent. 
 
An eloquent speaker in oil and gas conferences, her papers always themed on Growth of the petroleum industry on the African continent for the benefit of the continent. 
 
Nosizwe was the recipient of the “Female Business Personality “Award in 2013. 
In 2009 she was a finalist in South Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government Award in the government category. She was also was the recipient of the Top Female Leader of Tomorrow Award in 2005. 
 
In recognition of her passion for youth development in the oil industry internationally, she participated as an invited Specialist in the 1st International Oil and Gas Students Forum held in Moscow in  2016.
