Oluwasola Akano has over ten years working experience that span across operations, maintenance and engineering of gas transmission, distribution, virtual pipeline (CNG and LNG) and independent power plants.
Prior to joining our team, he was a Business Development officer at Greenville LNG, responsible for negotiating and executing Liquefied natural gas sales and purchase agreements with clients and well as leading the sales efforts in the South West of Nigeria.
He also worked as the Head, Engineering and Projects unit in Opex Oil and Gas Ltd, the operator of Axxela’s (former Oando gas and power) assets, where he was responsible for site survey, Right of Way selection, cost estimation preparation, conceptual design, hydraulic analysis, equipment design, project management, installation. He handles the commissioning of over 50 spur-line and pipeline gas stations as well as over 10 CNG daughter stations with their high-pressure line as well as low pressure line whilst working with Opex.
He was the Head, Commercial Operations and Strategy at QSL-GP Gas and Power Ltd. He was responsible for commercial operations of the company, revenue generation and assurance, client relationship and account management, he was also responsible for business development and expanding the gas and power business of the firm. He led the team that achieved a milestone in the gas distribution sector in Nigeria by being the first to secure a shipper’s licence from DPR and transport gas under the network code thereby selling gas from producer and delivering to end user without going through NGMC.
Sola, has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (B. Sc) from the Lagos State University, Epe, Lagos, Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (M.Sc.) from the University of Lagos and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Quantic School of business and technology, USA. Oluwasola Akano is the Senior Business Development Manager Oil and Gas at Aggreko Projects Limited, an international power solutions company, a world leader in power solution. He focusses on providing power for the oil and gas industry and leading the execution of flare gas solutions across the West African market for Aggreko.
