Rita helps female leaders in the energy sector who want to achieve higher levels of impact and influence.

As the founder of Shestainability, she has created a community of visionary women and thought leaders who, through their passion for the energy transition and sustainable solutions, unapologetically bring their ideas to the table and take action. She leads the Next Level Purpose Mastermind Group, where transformation happens, in combination with executive coaching.

Rita launched Lean in Energy’s Europe community in 2018 where she is the Chair. Together with CoChair Lame Verre, the community has grown to include Sub Saharan Africa, and it continues to grow.

Rita spent 20 years as an executive leader in Upstream, the international oil & gas news source where her passion for the energy industry was cultivated. She left the corporate world in 2017 and has since started two companies, including Shestainability. In addition to her work with Shestainability, she is a Mentor with Techstars, a public speaker and a business coach for entrepreneurs, a medical philanthropist and an investor in female-founded startups.

Rita holds a PCC from The International Coaching Federation, a CPC from the International Institute of Excellence in Coaching, and she is an Energy Leadership Assessment master practitioner. She lives in Stavanger, Norway.
