Under the high patronage of the Head of State, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, the Minister of Hydrocarbons of the Democratic Republic of Congo is launching the calls for tenders for hydrocarbon blocks. The launch event was held on July  28th and 29th 2022 in Kinshasa.

"We are one of the potentially oil and gas rich countries in the world, our 3 sedimentary basins are among the largest with areas around 6000 km² for the Coastal Basin, 50,200 km² for the Western Branch of the East African Rift Basin (Tanganyika and Kivu Basins) and 800,000 km² for the Cuvette Central Basin." This is the thought of the Minister of Hydrocarbons Didier Budimbu.
