Bridget Venner is the Vice President & General Manager of ExxonMobil Exploration & Production Namibia Limited (EMEPNL), a subsidiary of ExxonMobil. In her role as GM, Ms. Venner oversees all operations and business activities associated with exploration licenses the company holdsin offshore Namibia. Ms. Venner brings with her over 40 years of ExxonMobil experience leading some of the company’s premier upstream projects including development and production projects in Canada, the North Sea, Russia, the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. In each of these assignments, Ms. Venner identified and implemented geoscience and business solutions that improved project execution. She also worked closely with industry partners and host governments to maintain the company’s license to operate. A Canadian citizen, Ms. Venner is a graduate of Mount Allison University in Canada where she obtained an honors degree in Geology. In her diverse career with ExxonMobil, she has lived with her husband and two children in Calgary, Norway, the U.K. and Houston, Texas,Iraq, UAE and now resides in Windhoek, Namibia.
As oil continues to become unfashionable and investment is difficult to come by, frontier exploration has been one of the areas to decrease significantly.
