Managing Director Eni Cote d’Ivoire

Nicola Mavilla was appointed Managing Director of Eni Cote d’Ivoire in February, 2022. He oversees the development of the Baleine project, the related decarbonization and sustainability initiatives, as well as the company's exploration activities in the country. 

 Most recently Mr Mavilla was General Manager of Agiba, a JV between EGPC and Eni, in Egypt. 

A geologist by training, he joined Eni in 2002 after a PhD in Marine Geology in France and a Post Doc in the US. He began his career in the Geology and Geophysics department in Milan and gained experience on the field in Egypt. He then covered roles of increasing seniority across different countries: Exploration Manager in Libya, Head of Exploration Africa in 2010, Exploration Manager in Norway in 2015 and Head of Exploration for America, Northern Europe and Former Soviet Union countries.
