WHO WE ARE
Uganda National Oil Company Limited (UNOC) is a company wholly owned by the Government of Uganda and is charged with the responsibility of managing State participation in petroleum activities along the entire petroleum value chain namely upstream, midstream, and downstream. UNOC was established by Act of Parliament; Section 42 of the Petroleum (Exploration, Development and Production) Act, 2013, and incorporated in June 2015 under the Companies Act (2012) as a limited liability company.
UNOC has two Shareholders, namely, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) and the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) with a shareholding of (51%) and (49%) respectively.
