Ian Ayling

Chief Sales Officer, NOV

Ian Ayling is an Electronic and Electrical Engineer with over 25 years experience in the Energy Industry working in sales, project and operations management roles. This has involved living and working in a wide variety of locations around the World including the Congo, Australia, Libya, China and the US. Most recently moving back to his home town of London when he joined NOV in August 2017 after more than 20 years overseas.

He became Chief Sales Officer in August 2019 supporting a diverse portfolio of products and services spread across eight business units, with a 600+ person sales force, operating in 60+ countries and working in an industry undergoing significant change.

Away from work Ian completed an MBA in 2017 and enjoys spending time with his family, usually as the private taxi driver for 3 teenage kids, and taking part in adventure marathons and trail running to get some peace and quiet.
