CATERING & DIETARIES

Refreshments and snacks will be available all day at the Business Lounge and Relax Lounge on the exhibition floor, the Green Energy Africa Summit Networking Lounge and via the refreshment point at the Level 1 lounge.

Lunch will be provided for all delegates in the Lunch Hall on Level O between 12:00 – 14:00 Tuesday to Thursday.  Lunch on Friday will be served at the Farewell Braai.

There will be Networking Happy Hours on Tuesday to Thursday from 17:30 – 18:30 each day in the Business Lounge in the exhibition hall.

Vegetarian and vegans will be catered for.  If you have any specific dietary requirements, please email us via [email protected].  

EXHIBITORS

During build exhibitors can access the halls on Monday 3 October from 13:00 – 16:00 to dress their stands.

Exhibitors can also access the halls from 08:00 on each of the live event days.

Exhibitors can begin to pack away their stands from 13:00 on Friday 7 October but not any earlier.  Contractors will be allowed to access the halls once it is safe to do so, estimated from 16:00

AOW APP

SPEAKERS

STUDENTS

Students are welcome to join the event on Thursday 6 October only. All student passes need to be verified in advance and can only be collected on the day. Please note that student passes are not valid for any of the evening networking functions.
 

PRESS

Credited members of the press can apply for a pass to attend for the event. If approved, a QR code will be issued a week before the event in order for you to collect your badge onsite. There is a press lounge located at the rear of the exhibition hall and operated by our PR company. Within the lounge you will find areas to work, branded interview walls and video recording booths.
 

SECURITY

Due to the nature of the event, there will be heightened levels of security at the event and all networking events.  Please note you will require your delegate badge to enter the event or any of the networking functions.  If you cannot show your badge, entry will be refused.

Please note all delegates will need to go through airport style security on arrival at the venue.  Please note this is also a firearm free event. 

If you have any concerns over security you are welcome to report to the Venue Operations Centre located on Level 1.  

Crime especially petty theft can be prevalent in Cape Town.  Delegates are encouraged to get taxi’s across the city especially at night.  South African Police can be contacted in an emergency on 1011.

COVID-19

Please note that all Covid-19 restrictions have now been lifted by the South African Government. We ask that delegates respect those individuals who still may wish to follow certain measures including mask wearing, not shaking hands and maintaining social distancing. The organisers will still provide hand sanitiser in high traffic areas and with the venue a high standard of cleanliness.

Iccommodate is AOWs official and only accommodation partner and has secured discounted rooms at a number of hotels surrounding the event venue. Use their live booking system or email them at [email protected] to take advantage of their rates.

VENUE INFORMATION – TRANSPORT

AOW is being held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC2) located on the corner of Heerengracht Street & Rua Bartholomeu Dias Plain, Foreshore, Cape Town. 
 
Car parking is available in P1 and P3 car parks for a daily fee. Taxi’s and Ubers can stop at the dedicated drop zone on Heerengracht Street. Pick up must be from the bus lanes next to CTICC 1 on Walter Sisulu Avenue, vehicles will not be able to stop outside CTICC2.

Cloakroom:
A cloakroom is available on Level 1. Please note luggage is not allowed at the event and should be left with your hotel concierge. The organisers will not be held responsible for any items left in the cloakroom and you do so at your own risk.
 
Internet:
Free Wi-Fi will be available for all delegates. Instructions will be available on arrival.

VISAS
If you require a visa to enter South Africa, please request a visa letter from [email protected]. Visa letters can only be issued once full payment has been made.
AOW has partnered with Xpatweb to help facilitate the application of visas. Their welcome pack provides all the necessary information and should you wish to utilise their services please complete page 6 and return with the T&Cs on page 11. Please contact [email protected] for further assistance.
