Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) is a company wholly owned by the government of Uganda and is charged with the responsibility of managing State participation in petroleum activities along the entire petroleum value chain namely upstream, midstream, and downstream. UNOC was established by Act of Parliament; Section 42 of the Petroleum (Exploration, Development and Production) Act, 2013, and incorporated in June 2015 under the Companies Act (2012) as a limited liability company.

UNOC has two Shareholders, namely, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) and the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) with a shareholding of (51%) and (49%) respectively.

OUR SUBSIDIARIES
UNOC has two wholly owned subsidiaries. 
•    Uganda Refinery Holding Company Limited (URHC) is responsible for the refining and petrochemical business of the Company. URHC holds a participating interest of up to 40% in the Refinery and its attendant infrastructure and manages the promotion and development of Kabalega Industrial Park.
•    National Pipeline Company Limited (NPC), is responsible for pipelines, storage, and downstream business ventures. NPC holds a 15% participating interest in the 1443 Km East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) on behalf of UNOC and manages the development and operations of downstream storage terminals and petroleum trading.
